What’s your favorite fall activity?

No, it’s not quite fall yet but it’s just around the corner. I am just super excited! I am ready for the fall foliage, fairs, hayrides, Apple-picking, & of course, food! This past weekend, my family & I attended The Big E. For those who aren’t from the CT-MA area, it is a huge fair with over 100,000 in attendance any given day. It is something we look forward to every year. They have vendors who sell crafts, soaps, coats, food, pretty much anything! The food is outstanding fair food. They always come up with new food creations every year. They release the list a few weeks ahead of time so everyone can see and plan out what they will eat when the fair opens.

What did we eat? What did we try?

Well my husband already has his game plan ahead of time. He must always have a Connecticut Baked Potato that is ridiculously huge! It is packed with any toppings you like. This year he chose bacon, broccoli, and melty cheddar cheese. He’s also a huge fan of hot dogs so he got two for himself with an order of fries. Nothing too crazy. Hubby likes to play it safe when it comes to new food.

Our daughter takes right after him. She played it safe. She wanted a hot dog like Daddy, a corn dog, ice cream, & a pony ride. That’s my girl. Knows what she wants from the beginning and she wasn’t leaving the fair without her pony ride.

Me, I love eating Polish pierogis first! Then I got an Italian sausage loaded with onions and peppers. Last, I tried .. FRIED. REESES! I love Reeses in the first place but FRIED! Amazing. It was literally heaven on my tastebuds.

We have plenty more fairs and food to try out. This is only our first one and I can’t wait for the next one. Let me know what your favorite fair food or activity is. I would love to hear new things to try this fall.
